DJ Ekimono (The Netherlands)

Born in 1977 this dj/producer has his roots founded in funk, disco and ofcourse electronic music. When in the late eighties the Summer of Love took place this guy knew which way to go. The music, the people, it was something completely new and refreshing. Around 1992 he began to buy records and mixing them. With gabber as his main specialism, he performed at numerous parties and radio stations across Holland. His fondest memories of that time are of the "Mystery Land" dance festival in 1997. With an amount of 35.000 visitors it is the largest amount of people he has ever performed for. He switched his style in 1999 and now he plays (Tech)House, Progressive, Electro and Trance.

In his early days he has shared the stage with DJ Pavo, Neophyte, DJ Gemini, DJ Dana, DJ Promo, DJ Dione and much more dutch hardcore DJ's. During 1999 untill 2003 he had a residency at a club in the Netherlands on friday and saturday. Here he played with dj's like; DJ Debra, Erick E, Robert Feelgood, DJ José & G-Spott and Richard Durand to name but a few. Also he came to perform with his great idol; Ben Liebrand. The experience of playing together with Ben Liebrand is the most memorable up to this date.

Schedule

Ekimono will play live every sunday of the week from 12.00 till 13.00 hrs.(L.A. time). For European listeners this is sundays 21.00 till 22.00 hrs (CET).
