Wally Lopez







Wally Lopez can be regarded as one of the men responsible for the current surge in the Spanish house scene. His productions and DJ sessions have been applauded by premier DJ's such as Erick Morillo, Danny Tenaglia, Pete Tong, Francesco Farfa and Steve Lawler whom was quoted as saying "He is the man of Moment".



Wally won the award for the best house record of the year in 2001, with "Patricia never leaves the house" by Deejay magazine, and in 2002 he was nominated in the categories for "DJ of the Year" and "Track of Year" for his release "Disco Night" on Weekend Records. He was voted "Best Newcomer" at this years Ibiza DJ Awards, and accolade that has been giving to DJs such as Hernan Cattaneo and Steve Lawler.

Wally has done more than 40 re-mixes this year alone, for artists such as Robbie Rivera, Dirty Vegas, Ananda Project and for Spanish pop icons such as Monica Naranjo and Miguel Bose.
And he's finishing his album debut and his compilation on Weekend Records,

He has played in Pacha (Ibiza), Privilege (Ibiza), Dome (Tel-aviv), Diabólica (Cannes), 287 Studio (Paris), Creamfields 2002 (Liverpool), Turnmillls (London), Meet Me 2002 (Slovenia), La Real (Asturias), El Divino (Ibiza), La Terraza (Barcelona), Discoteque (Barcelona), We Love Sundays in Danzatoria (Barcelona), Chic (Las Palmas), BCM (Mallorca), After Hour Power (Los Angeles), Electrogaia 2002 (San Sebastian), Rekyavik, Austria and Nice to mention but a few.

Wally is the most important artist from Weekend records,and has worked with labels such as Defected Records, Bonus Tracks, Credence, Hypnotic Music, Fluential, City Rockers, Bugged out, House Works, Milk & Sugar and Vendetta. This year Wally has decided to put most of his effort into his label "LA FACTORIA DISCOS".
